Fort Monmouth (Oceanport, NJ)

Wendy Bonello serves as VP/Branch Manager at First Bank, leading the Oceanport branch. She is responsible for building and coaching a high-performing team, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence and compliance in daily branch activities. Wendy also plays an active role in community engagement, representing First Bank at local events and organizations.

With over 33 years of experience in branch banking, Wendy began her career through a year-long management training program at Central Jersey Bank. She has managed branches of various sizes in Lakewood, Spring Lake Heights, West Long Branch, and Matawan, as well as overseeing a new-build in Freehold. Her extensive background includes leadership roles at Bank of America, Chase, Two River Community Bank, and OceanFirst Bank.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Princeton University and is a graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. She is deeply involved in the community, serving on the Advisory Board for Kick Cancer Overboard, and the Athena Awards Committee through the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys giving back to her community and supporting local initiatives. She was honored with the Bill Bradley Young Citizen Award during her high school years.
